OTMS Infor Interface for Simphony Pilot Installation

OTMS has developed a new property management system interface for Simphony. The latest addition to our product catalog supports an integration between the Infor PMS and Simphony POS. Already in production at our pilot site, the Prince hotel Waikiki, the interface supports room charges, house/group account charges, and comprehensive lookups from the POS station. 

The Prince hotel reached out to OTMS to facilitate a connection between their Infor POS and Simphony to simplify room charges and reporting. The interface allows the POS user to complete charges by looking up a room number or account number at the POS station. Once a room or account is successfully connected to the check the transaction can be completed. 

The interface uses a web API provided by Infor to allow posting more transaction information about a charge than the built in legacy PMS interface that supports a limited dataset.  The interface supports posting a flexible bin based revenue breakdown of the check along with an image representing the printed check.  Another feature of this enhanced interface is the ability to post non-room charge transactions to a tracking account in the PMS for reporting purposes. If the patron chooses to close their check with a nonroom charge payment type the transaction may still be recorded in the PMS.
