Cross tab reports are one of many report types that can be generated with the new OTMS Enterprise reporting module. With cross tab reports you can finally slice and dice your data in any way to get a detailed look at your sales. You can create templates for these reports using the report designer and save the templates to your reporting web app to reuse whenever you need. 

Within the report designer tool, navigate to reports wizard to start a cross tab report. From there you can connect your data source and categorize how you want the data to be displayed into rows and columns. Preview the report and format your data to customize how it will be displayed. Once your custom cross tab report is complete you can save it to make it simple for future use. 

OTMS Enterprise Reports and the report designer tool allows Simphony customers to get at their data to easily generate custom reports and exports for their operations.  OTMS can add additional data sources for specific customer needs if the standard ones are not sufficient. OTMS can also develop custom reports for customers without them having to purchase and learn the reports designer tool.

Outside of reporting, many custom requests are for simple exporting of different data elements.  With the export options available in OTMS Enterprise Reports, customers could create a simplified report containing the data they need and export it to Excel or CSV files for import into other systems.

Cloud systems such as Simphony offer many benefits over on-premise systems, however access to the raw data for generating custom reports and data feeds has been more complicated,  Needing to hire developers and use API’s rather than having direct access to the underlying database has challenged some clients who had made extensive use of the on-premise POS data before moving to the cloud. OTMS Enterprise Reports is one tool to help simplify this for customers as they migrate to Simphony Cloud.
