OTMS Maestro PMS Interface for Lone Mountain Ranch

OTMS recently installed the latest iteration of their enhanced interface to the Maestro PMS system for Simphony at Lone Mountain Ranch. Lone Mountain Ranch is a western resort in Big Sky, Montana. The resort offers vacation packages with activities and dining experiences available to guests. The OTMS Maestro PMS Interface makes it easy for guests to enjoy these amenities by allowing POS users to post transactions from the Simphony system directly to guest accounts in the Maestro PMS system.

OTMS first worked with Maestro in 2010 on a legacy Micros POS system at an upscale resort outside of NYC that had a number of unique needs at the time.  Special business rules were implemented to require manager authorization for specific accounts, a member discount feature, a custom auth function storing member or guest information with the POS check for later recall and the sending of the check image associated with the charge to the PMS system to allow review of the POS check in Maestro.

In 2019 OTMS worked with the Margaritaville Beach Hotel in Pensacola to implement a further enhanced Maestro interface for Simphony.  As a guest service and privacy option they wanted to utilize their room keys for charging.  We adapted the previously developed interface to work utilizing an option Maestro enabled to store the guest folio number on the magnetic room keys.  This allowed storing charge information on checks and making charges without requiring a guest to verbally give their name and room number to an employee.

For the Lone Mountain Ranch implementation, they wanted the check image functionality previously developed in 2010 added to the Simphony version of the interface.  In testing the functionality developed on the legacy product it was found that the implementation on both sides needed to be updated to account for some of the data differences in Simphony.
